You have to make your trips few and far between to really enjoy going to the Louisville Science Center in Louisville, KY. Luckily it had been ages since Allyson and I had been. Allyson and I went with friends to the Louisville Zoo this past Saturday. We haven’t been in so long that the polar bears and otters (two of our fave critters to see) were gone. They’re building a new exhibit called Glacier Run where I’m assuming these guys will be housed again. Makes a person wonder where they are right now? I love plants. I add to my flowerbeds every spring and fall. My hostas are the envy of the neighborhood. So I never mind a little rain. My daughters and I signed up for a birdwatching expedition with some avid birders from our church. It was a whirlwind trip to the windy city. It has become a yearly tradition to travel toChicago with friends, Val & Kim, and visit the American Girl Place. Allyson and I went with our friends, Valerie and Kim, to the American Girl Place in Chicago. Our trip was planned around their 1st Anniversary event for the American Girl Club. We got the chance to tour Squire Boone Cave with our homeschool group recently. They sometimes arrange field trips and get special rates for members of the group. We stopped for lunch first on our way to avoid brown-bagging it. When we got there, we checked out the gift shop until time to line up with our guide.
